What an honor to host CFDA for EXTRA!. I wore a vintage Azzedine Alaia with Azzedine Alaia flats and got to interview Francisco Costa, Kerry Washington, a very pregnant Jessica Alba, Zac Posen, Michael Kors, Miranda Kerr ( who loves to climb trees)and even saw Lady Gaga, Marc Jacobs, and Kanye West (who wore the coolest crystal encrusted shoes.)
Love ya EXTRA & CFDA!
It’s Coca Cola’s 125 th Anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than to compile the Coca Cola archives and create an amazing tribute with Assouline publishing. The images are memories we all grew up with from Shrek, supermodel Naomi Cambpell, which looked similar to what Lady Gaga wore in her “Telephone” music video, to a young image of Michael Douglas, and even RUN DMC. And they even have an iPad App for $4.99, that brings the book to life with the images and video. Whitney Port and I got to check out all the images together in New York City. Lets be honest, what other beverage endured every trend from punk, 50’s housewives, the RHONY Housewives, Woodstock, the tech craze, bell bottoms, skinny jeans, socialites, surfers, hipsters, Prince, football, starlets, and Lady Gaga. Through the good, bad, and the ugly, Coca Cola has been with us everyday and refreshed us. Have a coke and a smile!
“I sat in that row way up there,” said GAGA,” and I saw Cher, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, and I thought to myself one day I’d be on this stage.” And GAGA’s wish came true, just like in The Wizard of Oz ( which she used as a storyline), GAGA clicked her platforms and got to come home to Madison Square Garden. Her costume changes by Zoldi were clever, playful, and artistic. GAGA is more than a music sensation, she has a healthy message: “Respect people for their choices, and live life to the fullest. Living well is the best revenge”.
