Driving Shoes In A Rainbow Of Colors

Every JP Tods is taking the antibullying platform seriously with purple suede Tods. But its not the first time Tods has made colored driving loafers. Know as the ultimate Italian shoemaker, Tods and Mr. Diego Della Valle have shown men and women what real chic looks like. Its a moccasin and its cool. Driving moccasins are the new kitten heel. They are cool, accessible, colorful, chic, and convey a well traveled look. Tods are a rite of passage for any man. Any man who wears them has “in his mind” that he has made it. He can afford luxury, and isn’t exploiting it.

Congratulations to Barneys and JP Tods!

Halloween Steamy Cocktail

89517188

Halloween isn’t just for kids. After the kids go to sleep with costumes and candy in their heads, decorate your adult party with a steamy cocktail. Only hitch, don’t touch dry ice with bare hands.

Happy Spooky Steamy Halloween!

Fountain of Youth
2 ounces VeeV Açaí Spirit
½ ounce Simple Syrup
½ ounce Fresh Lime Juice
2 ounces Blueberry Nectar / Juice
Spiked Blueberries, for Garnish

Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the spiked blueberries and sprinkle dry ice on the cocktail to make it bubble and smoke.

Fountain of Youth (party batching proportions)
40 ounces VeeV Açaí Spirit
15 ounces Lime Juice
10 ounces Simple Syrup
20 ounces Blueberry Nectar

Add all ingredients to a pitcher large enough to hold all ingredients – stir well. Taste test for sweetness/tartness – adjust sweetness/tartness as desired.  Allow to sit in a cool dry place until ready to serve. When ready to serve; Pour batched mixture into a cocktail shaker; Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with the spiked blueberries and sprinkle dry ice on the cocktail to make it bubble and smoke.

What’s Next?

Everyone keeps asking me what’s next. I don’t like to count my chickens before they are hatched, so I have been keeping a low profile until TMZ “outed” my new jewery line. I wear what I make, and here’s a sneak peak of me at the W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale in my YSL sunglasses, Tomas Maier bikini, and my new jewelry( cuffs/earrings). Hope you like the new line. It will soon be available on my onlineshop, so stay tuned.

Tween Time

“How do you make a kids room into a tween room”? Color. I added hot pink to Teddy’s room, and a shocking green rug to take my 10 year old room from a kiddie room into a tween room. I bought her a cool modern lamp from Crate and Barrel , some art from an artist on the street and she’s ready to get creative. For Sea, I painted her walls a soft purple. We put her painted surf board up, some of her art work, a cowhide rug from Williams Sonoma home outlet, a colorful glass Crate and Barrel lamp, and her butterfly collection. Her room looks cool, but still has that youthful touch. Inspire your children, don’t foster obsessions for them to be adults. Coloring and decorating with what you love makes any room reflect the person. Decorate with what you love.

Afghan Hands

A makeup artist I have known for a long time, Matin Maulawizada, created this charity in his homeland of Afghanistan called Afghan Hands. This charity helps to educate and help the women affected by domestic abuse and violence in Afghanistan. Pashminas and beautiful pillows were created by these Afghan women, to be sold to help them and their families survive from this horrific situation. Stars like, Claire Danes and Cynthia Nixon came to support , also their long time friend, Matin at the Longchamp store in Soho. Longchamp and Afghan Hands are an amazing fusion of materialism and altruism. It’s events like these that make you think how truly lucky we are, and how we all need to help, even if its one person at time.

Make Up For Ever

Make Up For Ever has finally come to New York after teasing us in Vegas and in California. I first found Make Up For Ever in Paris a few years ago. Most professional makeup use it on photo shoots is mainly used by European makeup artists. Now, the company is open in Sephora in downtown New York. DWTS hopeful Audrina Patridge and I smiled for the red carpet shine free. Even photographer Mick Rock had a blast shine free. I can now shine on camera while filming The Real Housewives of New York City without being shiny using the awesome HD Translucent Powder.

Temper Trap

SPIN Magazine just made cool even cooler. I was invited by Spin Magazine and Vans to sample sound and see a small private concert with Temper Trap. No, I did not know that it was going to be at the SPIN Magazine offices, and that I was going to be literally blowing my eardrums out by standing directly next to the stage and the speakers. I was offered a PBR ( Pabst Blue Ribbon) while Indoesian singer Dougy Mandagi belted out the words to “Sweet Disposition“. I am officially a Temper Trap groupie and proud of it. Here’s the amazing video and lyrics that are so real and romantice they will blow you away.

Lyrics :

Never too soon
Oh reckless abandon,
Like no one’s watching you
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
Just stay there
Cause I’ll be comin’ over
While our bloods still young
It’s so young, it runs
Won’t stop til it’s over
Won’t stop to surrender
Songs of desperation
I played them for you
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
Just stay there
Cause I’ll be comin’ over
While our bloods still young
It’s so young, it runs
Won’t stop til it’s over
Won’t stop to surrender
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs (won’t stop til it’s over)
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs (won’t stop til it’s over)
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs (won’t stop til it’s over)
A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A moment, a love
A moment, a love (won’t stop to surrender)
