How To Get Fit Fast – Star Magazine

Target and Food Bank NYC are fighting hunger one meal at a time. 300,000 people are being fed by Food Bank NYC everyday. All it takes is 1dollar to feed 7 people. Let’s fight hunger together with Target, who puts their money where their mouth is. Hunger doesn’t discriminate, let’s fight it together.

The Met and Gap are celebrating the most beautiful American women in the world. From the Gibson girl of the late 1800s to the rockin’ flapper girl of the 20s, the American woman has evolved. She wore a corset swimming, she votes, she’s every skin color, she’s smart, and she’s sexy.
Check out the exhibit and don’t forget to pick up my book AMERICAN STYLE in the bookshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kelly Killoren Bensimon marched in the NY 2010 Pride March in support of the GMHC. GMHC and Whole Foods Market partnered together this year to promote wellness in the community. Kelly felt compelled to emphasize the message of practicing safe sex and living a healthy life, issues she spoke openly about on the Real Housewives of New York. She marched with fellow supporters and helped spread the love all around.

New York is where I work and the Hamptons is where I live and play. Kids, dogs, and horses are the focal point of our existence at what we call “the beach.” Since I was 16, I have always had an affection for the Hamptons but for reasons you may not expect. I love the “soft light” artists adore, I love the sunset that casts a rose hue all over the sky, and the respect that the bonackers and the socialites, fisherman and businessmen have for each other. People are people in the Hamptons. The pretense is left as you pass get off the expressway.
Welcome to my Hamptons.

I admit it. I have a huge crush on Adam Sandler. The movie made me laugh like crazy. Literally, I was laughing next to the biggest names in Hollywood, but it didn’t matter. The entire theatre left in a great mood. The movie made me feel great about my friends, and even better about my enemies. And I recognized that winning is easy, and losing is healthy.

Last weekend, Blue & Cream celebrated with Kelly Killoren Bensimon, who unveiled her new feather jewelry line at the Hamptons boutique. Joined by her daughters Sea and Teddy, Bensimon debuted her exclusive charity earrings, featuring Swarovski crystals and ostrich feathers, with 100% of the proceeds benefit Feeding America. Guests including The City’s Roxy Olin, Kelly Klein, supermodels Chanel Iman and Eniko Mikhalik, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict and Blue & Cream owner Jeff Goldstein feted the designer with cocktails and conversation at the East Hampton store.

I’ll never forget the first time, I saw my name on the cover of a book. Writing is a labor of love. Telling the story, compiling images, and creating juxtapositions make books that are not only evocative, but so beautiful, that some people get mesmerized by the content. Working with Assouline publishing has been one of the most amazing opportunities of my life. Their aesthetic for books is so modern. They create books that are like a magazine: amazing images and concise text. My first book spearheaded the series “In the Spirit of the Hamptons“. Martine Assouline taught me an amazing lesson. “Starting” to do anything is one of the biggest hurdles, but for Martine it is one of the most crucial times. “Just start compiling images, and we’ll do it together.” Life is organic and I learned that through creating these books. What I wanted and what I had access to in terms of content and pictures encouraged me to synthesize and not judge. Just start. You never know where that will lead you, and that’s exciting.
Thank you Assouline, here’s to our new project. Shhh. Don’t tell anyone.

Party like its 2033. Svedka knows a good party, and Abe and Arthurs had an amazing birthday for owners Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm, who happen to be NYC most eligible bachelors. Roxy Olin, Whitney Port, Extra’s AJ, and Matthew Settle. Gossip Girl’s hot dad, and I chatted up what makes an adult playground. I like kids and family and he loves life. Thanks Svedka for the food, friends, and fun.
